Meet another awesome creature in ARK: Survival Evolved Mobile and its name is Araneo! The creature has other names, like the Araneomorphus, or even the Spider. You will bump into this creature when roaming the wild world in the game.
The dossier mentioned above is planned to be an accurate copy of what has been written by the survivor named Helena. However, just to let you know, there are probably some differences between this text and the creatures in the game.
I don’t know where to start with Araneomorphus amalgotantibus. It has so many of the nightmare inducing traits of spiders from among many family and genus.
It fires webbing like a bola spider, it spits venom like a lynx spider. It has a poisonous bite like a myriad of spiders, and can see in the dark by sensing vibrations. And to top it off, Araneomorphus is larger than an adult human! If that wasn’t enough, I’m convinced that some of the caves on the island have actually been dug by Araneomorphus, but this worries me. Either Araneomorphus is a colony-spider (like ants), or there is a much larger Araneomorphus somewhere on the island.
As long as it is kept far from arachnophobics, domesticated Araneomorphus makes an excellent guardian creature for anyone wanting to avoid killing. Their strange web-spraying behavior is also quite helpful while hunting fast, fleeing prey. They are too small to be used as mounts, however…
The Araneomorphus won’t be hesitant to assault the survivor on sight because of their hostile temperament. Just like other spiders, it releases dangerous webs for trapping its food and defeat them using the venom. Nevertheless, this creature chooses to fire webs and spit venom at its target instead of creating complicated webs to defeat them. You can totally catch sight of these creatures in big swarms deep underground.
You can find these creatures deep underground in caverns full of darkness. The Araneomorphus is considered a frightening chimera of many spider species.
Color Scheme and Regions
In this part, you will see the natural colors and regions of the Araneo. You can see the red regions below on an albino Araneo. The colored squares displayed below every single description of the region are known as the colors that this creature will spawn with at random so as to give a general range of its natural color scheme. You can move your cursor over a color to see the name and ID.
This region information can be used by the server admins in the Console Command “cheat SetTargetDinoColor ”.
For instance, “cheat SetTargetDinoColor 0 6” would be used to color the body magenta of Araneo.

2-The absolute Base Damage is displayed here rather than the percentage.

Wild Stats Level-up
If you want to check on which stats the creature is emphasized, you need to type in values of that wild creature. Normally, the green levels on a creature at a high level are kind of great for breeding. If you have already domesticated your creature, you should try to regain the breeding-stats with an external tool.
|Melee Damage [%]||0|
Bear in mind that after you have tamed the creature, it will receive some bonuses on some stats relying on the taming effectiveness. This will cause it to be difficult to recover the levels on a domesticated creature. Therefore, you only use this tool for the untamed ones. However, it brings you a first impression, how well the stats are given out.
You can domesticate Araneo in a non-brutal way, instead of using the tranquilizers. Araneo is a hostile creature, so you must stop it from attacking it when it catches sight of you by using Bug Repellent. If it keeps attacking another creature or if it’s consuming a corpse, you won’t be able to domesticate it. There are two ways for you: either wipe out any distractions from the zone or tempt it to a zone that is more deserted.
After you have used the Bug Repellent as well as dealt with some distractions, just position the food that you want to feed it in the right-most slot of the hot bar. After that, you can get close to the Araneo and wait until a button appears telling you to feed it. The creature will consume the food you give, and you will see a taming bar. You should do that in the prone position for lowering down the possibility of getting noticed by it. If in this case, it will become very hostile. Be patient to wait until it gets hungry enough and you can feed it again. Keep doing this process over and over again until you completely tame it. Do get too close and touch it, or else you will get attacked. You should keep a distance, get far enough away to make it lose the interest in you if you want to carry on the domestication.
After the taming process is over, the Araneo will turn itself into a handy tool for taming thanks to its awesome web attack. You can make good use of this kind of assault to decelerate the target animal, which makes it less perilous and more manageable.

|Raw Fish Meat||934||00:10||2:35:41|

Bear in mind that the values are just only for optimal cases, always carry the additional supplies.
You can try an external taming calculator [link] to get a level-dependent count of resources required.
You can only find the Araneo only in caves most times of the year. But, throughout the ARK: Fear Evolved event, this creature pops up in many locations above ground.
With this section, you will find out how to battle against the Araneomorphus.
You can search for the Araneo in caves, and this creature always possesses tranquilizing venom. But if you are a player that is fully equipped with weapons, then it won’t be a big problem for you to confront it. The Araneo doesn’t have high health and it depends on swarming its enemy to get them overwhelmed using the deadly web as well as venom assaults.
You must protect yourself from their ranged assaults. Their web assault will hinder your mobility and it can make you defenseless to the strikes done by other predators living in caves. You should be an agile survivor, make good use of your ranged weapon, like a Crossbow to defeat it. You can utilize pikes and swords too, but those weapons will make you more vulnerable.
Most weapons are fairly handy to use to beat the Araneo, and the most effective one is the ranged weapons. But, using the ranged weapons won’t help you take down big rushes enough quickly, which turns a backup melee weapon into a necessary one. Aside from that, you can use pikes and shotguns as they are also effective weapons. Using the pike can help keep them out of attack scope surely while dishing out considerable damage. For the shotgun, it can help you kill the Araneo in close spaces easily and quickly.
The bigger risk that this creature brings to you is the size of its group. Probably, it’s just a small challenge for you to deal with its ranged attacks, however, if you bump into a horde of it, you will surely get overwhelmed, even if you are the strongest survivor. If you don’t pay attention to them, you will get cornered easily. Make sure to watch your torpor and always have a teammate with you for a better protection if you take a fall.
You can use the shotguns to deal damage to them as the cave walls occasionally generate close quarters. You can take tamed creatures with you and let them take on the Araneo. If you enter bigger caves, you should use some creatures, such as the Raptor, Sabertooth, Direwolf, and even Pteranodon. For other caves, you should utilize some shoulder-mounted creatures, like the Dimorphodon

According to the Dossier for this creature, it mentioned a “much larger Araneomorphus somewhere on the island”. In fact, this refers to the Broodmother Lysrix, which is one of the dangerous bosses in the game.
The Araneo usually is found in caves, but sometimes, they can turn up in hordes on the surface because of a glitch.
Although these creatures were said to be very small and couldn’t be used as mounts, according to the dossier, in Patch 2221.0, they were made rideable.
Araneo is known as the scientific name for the spiders, but in the Latin, it means “to have the shape of something,” amalgam refers to a blend, and tantibus means “nightmare” in Latin. Therefore, Araneomorphus amalgotantibus practically means “spider-shaped nightmare combination” in Latin, relating to the fact that it has characteristics from plenty of discrepant families and genera of spiders in the real life and that the Dossier depicts it as being “nightmare inducing.”
There is a popular glitch while strolling up inclined hills or ramps, as this creature will normally lean forward and it does an action called “hand-stand”, while its face clips through the ground. Furthermore, they are in short of a swimming animation, since their walking animation is utilized while they are swimming.
It is feasible to call the Araneomorphus the offspring of the Broodmother Lysrix.
